(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Fatherland Front received 3 billion VND from religious organizations and individuals to the Fund for the Poor on Friday.

On behalf of religious organizations, Monk Thich Bao Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, said religious organizations have responded to the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s call to help disadvantaged people nationwide to escape poverty.
The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and its local branches will raise fund and send relief to people affected by natural disasters in the central provinces.
