Repatriating remains of US servicemen
(VOVworld) - A ceremony was held at the Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi on Friday to repatriate 4 sets of remains of US servicemen missing in action. Representatives from the Vietnam's Office for Searching Missing Persons (VNOSMP), US Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius, and representatives from the US Department of Defense and the MIA Office in Hanoi attended the ceremony.

The remains were discovered during the 125th joint field activity between Vietnam and the US, conducted between October and December this year.
The remains will be sent to Hawaii for further examination. This is the 139th handover of American servicemen’s remains since 1973.
