(VOVworld)- National Assembly deputies are to vote on adopting the draft revisions to the 1992 Constitution on Thursday. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, the deputies acknowledged the drafting committee’s efforts in gathering public opinions and fine-tuning the constitutional revisions. The draft revision was adjusted and comprehended on the basis of being open to further legislation. Ms Nguyen Thanh Hai is a deputy from Hoa Binh province: “These changes are appropriate and logical. In particular, they are based on people’s aspirations and reality”.

Dinh Xuan Thao is a deputy from Hanoi: “The revision aims at meeting the demands of national development in the new context, so the draft revisions covered all chapters and articles regarding politics, economics, civil affairs, national defense and security. The constitutional revision draft was carefully prepared. At this session, National Assembly discussed the revisions thoroughly to help the drafting committee complete the content and format of a revised Constitution. I think all the necessary conditions to adopt the revisions are available”.

The National Assembly deputies will vote on the approval of the constitutional amendments on Thursday.

On the same day, they also approved the Resolution on strengthening measures on crime prevention and control.
