(VOVworld) – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko discussed ways to peacefully resolve the situation in southeast Ukraine during a phone conversation on Monday. The two leaders agreed the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) should monitor the new ceasefire.

On Sunday, Mr. Putin and Mr. Poroshenko agreed the ceasefire was being honored and discussed humanitarian aid for civilians in Donetsk and Lugansk.
