Rudskoi said that since October 18, Russian and Syrian warplanes have completely halted flights within ten kilometers of Aleppo. He said humanitarian pauses were imposed in Aleppo for three days starting October 20, when Syrian government troops ceased fire. Eight humanitarian corridors were open during this pause for anyone wanting to leave Aleppo: two corridors were for armed militants and evacuation of the sick and the wounded, and six corridors were for civilians. Members of IS have been moving from Iraq to Syria since Iraqi armed forces began attacks on Mosul.
