(VOVworld) – Russia has offered an initiative to create a demilitarized zone in Donbass, eastern Ukraine, according to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

Russian and Ukrainian generals at the headquarters of the Joint Centre for Control and Co-ordination notified the OSCE of the news. The offer was sent for discussion to the General Staff of both countries.
The deputy foreign ministers of the Normandy Four, including Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France ended an 8-hour meeting in Berlin on Ukrainian crisis, reaching no agreement. The negotiators refused to discuss any results of the consultations. Russian news agency TASS reported that the work is going on and all sides are constructive.
The Contact Group on Ukraine held a regular meeting in Minsk to seek measures toward the Minsk agreements.
