(VOVworld) – Russia is willing to bring relations with the US back to normal, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Monday.

“It will only be possible if relations are based on equality, mutual respect, and the search to balance interests in fields where we have common goals, such as the war on terror”, Lavrov said. 

Following a meeting with Lavrov the same day, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said Hungary’s fight against terrorism is impossible without cooperation with Russia. He reiterated Hungary’s wish to restore ties with Russia and urged that "negative stereotypes about Russia" be abandoned.
