(VOVworld) – Russia’s envoy to the NATO has said that Russia would take all political and military measures to guarantee its security amid NATO’s recent expansion in Eastern and Baltic countries bordering Russia.
Alexander Grushko was speaking after the NATO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Brussels, Belgium where NATO agreed to enhance the defense capacity of its member countries and boost military activities in Romania, Poland, and the Baltic countries. Grushko said NATO had finalized its military exploitation in Eastern European countries by building infrastructure and modernizing airports and seaports.
On April 1, NATO said it would suspend all practical civil and military cooperation with Russia in three months because Moscow had annexed Crimea.
