Russia: Ukraine’s martial law threatens Donbass security
(VOVWORLD) - Ukraine’s declaration of martial law poses a security threat in the Donbass region, eastern Ukraine, the Russian Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) said on Monday.

Alexander Lukashevich added that Kiev's course for escalating tensions has been reaffirmed by the recent developments. Ukraine’s armed forces have the high-altitude rockets of Buk, S-300, and the Grad and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems along the boundary lines of Donbass and have sent troops to fortify shellings in Zolotom and Petrovsky. It has been reported that Kiev is receiving foreign support for preparing provocations with chemical weapons in Donbass, Lukashevich said.
The introduction of martial law in Ukraine followed Russia’s detention of three Ukrainian naval vessels on Sunday for entering its territorial waters east of Crimea.
