(VOVworld)- “It’s dangerous and counterproductive to try to force Ukraine to choose either with us or against us”, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a joint news conference after talks with Luxembourg’s Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn on Tuesday.

This is Moscow’s latest warning that the European Union (EU) and the US should not try to determine Ukraine’s future. According to Lavrov, both the West and Russia should contact political force in Ukraine to discuss ways to stabilize the current crisis without trying to gain advantages. Lavrov said national dialogue is critical at this point and affirmed Russia’s stance of not interfering in Ukraine’s internal affairs. He said he hopes the international community will do the same.
