The author attributed Vietnam’s achievements to its successful fight against the COVID-19 pandemic under the CPV’s leadership, saying that measures taken by Vietnam were not only drastic and strong but also open and transparent. As a result, no more than about 1,500 infections were recorded in Vietnam in 2020. Public response to the authorities’ actions was extremely positive, it said.
The paper said that the 13th National Congress of the CPV is scheduled to take place from January 25 to February 2, with the aim of assessing the implementation of resolutions adopted at the last congress five years ago.
The article said Vietnam achieved numerous external policy successes in 2020, and its status has been enhanced in Southeast Asia and throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The article suggested that Vietnam and Russia, with their similar approach, can strengthen peace and stability in the region.
