(VOVworld) - Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Russian Federal Council (Upper House), left Hanoi on Wednesday after her two-day Vietnam visit.

During her talks with Vietnamese leaders, Matviyenko showed appreciation to achievements Vietnamese people have gained in their national construction and development. She said that Vietnam and Russia see potential to strengthen cooperation, especially in energy, education, security, and national defense. Both sides committed to do their utmost to build a stronger relationship.
