His statement was made at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday, where negotiations are making progress on Yemen, but much work still needs to be done.
Prince Faisal called for a truce, brought in last year in the country, to be reinstated and said work must begin toward making the ceasefire permanent.
The conflict will end only “through a political settlement” and “negotiated solutions,” he said.
Prince Faisal called the Palestinian crisis the “biggest drag” on the region and said he hopes Israel’s new government sees that it is in their interest to engage seriously with the Palestinians in order to resolve the issue.
He called on Israel and Palestine to address their long time conflict for regional stability.
