Jubeir stressed the need for both sides to strengthen bilateral ties in economics, politics, and education as the EU members are important partners for Saudi Arabia. The two leaders also discussed economics, visas, education, the EU’s role in implementing Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, and regional issues in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Libya, as well as cooperation on fighting terrorism and extremism.

Mogherini hailed Saudi Arabia’s contributions to maintaining stability, peace, and prosperity in the region. She said both sides needed to boost multifaceted cooperation for the benefit of their peoples.
