Saudi Arabia offers medical aid to support Vietnam’s COVID-19 control effort
(VOVWORLD) - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has offered a medical aid package to support Vietnam in the fight against COVID-19.

The US$500,000 package was presented to the Deputy Minister of Health Truong Quoc Cuong in Hà Nội by Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Wibar Abdullah I. Albaseer. Speaking at the ceremony on Thursday, Deputy Health Minister Cuong thanked Saudi Arabia for its aid to Viet Nam and asked the Health Ministry to continue calling for international support for Vietnam to control the pandemic. The aid package was part of the Saudi Arabian Government’s $500 million budget used to support international efforts to fight COVID-19.
