Participants said that the Central Key Economic Zone has advantages in tourism cooperation with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to attract tourists. Tran Hoang Tuan, Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai provincial People's Committee, pledged to work with other localities to continue improving the tourism environment towards green tourism.
He said, "We hope that the Government, ministries and central agencies, especially the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will adopt breakthrough orientations and solutions for localities in the Central Key Economic Zone."
In November 2020, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the five provinces and cities of the Central Key Economic Zone — Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, and Binh Dinh — signed an agreement to link tourism development, focusing on state management of tourism, human resource development, tourism product development and tourism promotion.
For two years, localities have cooperated in effectively exploiting the tourism resources of the region.
