The event, which will run through Sunday, features activities such as handing over charity houses, offering medical exams and medicine, as well as presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households, the local militia and the self-defense and reserve forces. It will also provide scholarships and bicycles to local students. There will be cultural exchanges, art performances, and folk games, among other activities.

“The program contributes to consolidating the people’s trust and strengthening solidarity among ethnic groups in Soc Trang Province in general and in Vinh Phuoc Ward in particular. It also demonstrates the close relationship between the army and people,” Senior-Lieutenant Colonel Dang Thanh Nhanh of the provincial Military Command said.
