th anniversary of the world’s victory over fascism at Tiananmen square in Beijing, China at the invitation of Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping.

Top leaders from 30 counties, the UN Secretary General, political activists, and representatives of international organizations attended the event.
Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a speech highlighting the importance of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War, its impact on China’s development, and the need to maintain global peace. He expressed his wish to build a global community of a shared future without prejudice, discrimination, hatred, or war, and of mutual respect, equality, peaceful development, and common prosperity as representing the right path to take. He said all countries should jointly uphold the international order and system underpinned by the purposes and principles of the UN Charter. China remains committed to peaceful development, he said.
A parade took place at Tiananmen Square with the participation of 12,000 Chinese and foreign soldiers.
