(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc appreciated the Ministry of Education and Training for the improved results of Vietnamese students at international competitions.

At a ceremony on Saturday to honor 40 students who won international Olympics competitions, Mr. Phuc praised the students in remote and disadvantaged regions for overcoming their difficulties to win high results.
Mr. Phuc said: “Your achievements have illustrated the tradition of learning and determination to acquire knowledge of our ancestors. Vietnam’s history honors many people, who brought fame to the nation for their wisdom and patriotism, such as Nguyen Hien, Mac Dinh Chi, and Le Quy Don. What you have gained are the first steps in your long journey ahead.”
The ceremony also acknowledged teachers’ efforts to train the students for international competitions.
