Sudan’s Prime Minister Bakri Hassan Saleh on Thursday announced a new government.

Mohamed Othman Rukabi, a former army lieutenant general, was appointed Finance Minister, Mubarak Fadel al-Mahdi , Minister of Investment, and Abdulrahman Othman Abdulrahman, Oil Minister. Saleh also announced that Hamed al-Mannan was appointed Minister of the Interior. The Sudanese Prime Minister told reporters that the new government will realize proposals made at the national dialogue with opposition groups. He said the government’s priorities include boosting production, improving people's lives, and achieving peace.
