(VOVworld) – The Drafting Committee for Revising the 1992 Constitution has received a summary of public opinions from the Fatherland Front. The Front has collected over 8 million recommendations from people of all strata concerning the revisions.

Since national reunification and 3 times amending the Constitution, this revision has attracted the most interest and recommendations from a broad range of people. Representatives of all the Vietnamese ethnic groups inside and outside the country, as well as various religious dignitaries, have all contributed ideas to the redrafting of the Constitution. It demonstrates the people’s right to a voice in the areas of Constitutional revision, national defense, and helping to build a socialist state governed by law. The Fatherland Front and its member organizations will continue to collect the public’s opinion until final approval by the National Assembly.
