The Crown Princess said the Vietnamese city and Swedish localities, especially the capital Stockholm, have many similar development challenges. This opens opportunities to strengthen cooperation in fields like environmental pollution, smart city building, and waste treatment, she said.
As part of the Crown Princess’s visit to Vietnam, Swedish Minister for Foreign Trade Ann Linde met with Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh in Hanoi on Wednesday. Linde said Sweden will help Vietnam develop renewable energy, build policies, develop infrastructure, and train personnel to meet the requirements of the fourth Industrial Revolution and the digital economy. She said that Sweden supports Vietnam at the European Commission (EC) in signing and ratifying the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement and the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement.
