(VOVworld) – Deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile defense system in South Korea was postponed to an unspecified date after the South Korean presidential election ends next month, the Yonhap news agency reported Monday.

South Korea and the US announced the THAAD deployment plan last year. China and Russia both objected the missile shield, saying it would threaten their national security.
