Thailand takes security measures for APEC 2022
(VOVWORLD) - The National Security Council (NSC) and the Royal Thai Police have announced that all security measures are in place for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Bangkok next month.

NSC chief General Supoj Malaniyom said that security deployments have gone as planned.
National Police chief Pol General Damrongsak Kittiprapas said both sides discussed measures to deploy the personnel, vehicles and equipment during the event. Around 20,000 soldiers will be deployed to assure security at hotels, meeting venues, banquets, and roads.
The Royal Thai Police also set up a command center to supervise the situation while strengthening crime prevention measures ahead of the meeting.
