(VOVworld) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phuc Trong chaired the opening session of the 12^th Party Central Committee’s 4^th plenum in Hanoi on Sunday.

Delegates will discuss social economic development plans and new policies to change and improve growth models for better productivity and international competitiveness. They will review international economic integration and social economic stabilization in the context of new generation of free trade agreements. Speaking in the opening session, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said delegates will review policies to settle bad debts, public investment while considering labor productivity and economic competitiveness a strategic breakthrough: “The Party Central Committee will identify new growth models with a roadmap of up to 5 or 10 years and a vision until 2030, policies to promote science and technology, labor restructuring and quality improvement, mobilization of resources, especially from the private sector, accumulation of agricultural land, settlement of non-performing loans and weak commercial banks.”
