The 5th Vietnam-Kansai economic dialogue forum
Japan is the 4th largest foreign investor in Vietnam with more than 1,600 projects worth over 22 billion USD. Two-way trade turnover has stood at nearly 15 billion USD. At the 5th Vietnam-Kansai economic dialogue forum, which opened in Da Nang city on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai noted that Japan is the biggest aid donor and one of Vietnam’s leading economic, investment and trade partners: “The forum is an annual economic dialogue at the national level of the two countries, resulted from commitments by top leaders. The forum offers a rare opportunity for us to discuss investment policy and the potential for investment cooperation. Detailed measures will be mapped out to attract more investment in the East-West Economic Corridor and adjacent areas in central Vietnam”.
Under the Vietnam-Kansai economic dialogue forum framework, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai chaired discussions on infrastructure development in the East-West Economic Corridor and the development manufacturing and support industries in central Vietnam.
