(VOVworld) – On the occasion of Vu Lan (All Souls Festival) on the 15^th day of 7^th lunar month, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs delegation led by Deputy Head of the Committee Duong Ngoc Tan on Saturday visited superior Buddhist monk Thich Pho Tue, Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha.

Mr. Tan said the Vietnamese Party and State values the Shangha’s great contributions in such areas as social activities, education and training. He expressed his hope that the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha will flourish, promote traditions, and strictly follow the motto: “Religion-Nation-Socialism”. The government official voiced the support from the Party and State for the Shangha’s activities in the spirit of national protection, people’s peace to consolidate national unity and contribute to social development.
