(VOVworld) – US President Barack Obama expressed his belief that the Trans-Pacific Partnership accord will be approved by the US congress.

Speaking at a meeting with leaders of trade and agriculture enterprises in Washington, one day after the TPP was adopted by the Trade Ministers of the negotiating countries, President Obama spoke of the benefits that the TPP could bring to the world’s economies. He said the TPP will eliminate or reduce more than 18,000 different taxes that various countries place on US products, creating favorable conditions for US exports. President Obama pledged that within 3 months he would submit a complete TPP document to the US congress for approval.
