(VOVworld) – Thousands of Vietnamese and Chinese young people have joined in the third Vietnam – China youth festival, which opened on Monday in Lang Son province.

The event was co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union and the Communist Youth League of China. Nguyen Manh Dung, Permanent Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union, said that over past years, relations between the Vietnamese and Chinese youth have developed strongly, helping foster ties between the two countries: “The festival is a significant event for the youth of the two countries to enhance their mutual understanding, exchange information, and foster friendship between Vietnam and China. At this event, 1,000 young Chinese people will be divided into 6 groups, participating in different exchanges in Hanoi and 6 provinces”.
