(VOVworld) – A seminar was held in Hanoi to mark the 50^th anniversary of the emulation movement ‘three readiness’ to inspire patriotism among Hanoi’s young people. The movement was initiated by the Hanoi Teachers’ Training University during the 1960s. Meeting participants analyzed the movement’s historical significance for Vietnam’s youth movements. Historian Duong Trung Quoc said: “The movement played an important role in Vietnam’s history. Today, the movement encourages younger generation to contribute more to national construction, defense, and modernization.”
