Thua Thien Hue province welcomes first visitors of 2019

The province has increased cooperation, promoted tourism advertisement, and created more tourist products to increase its tourist attraction. Last year, it welcomed more than 4 million visitors, 2 million of them were foreigners. Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Director of the province’s Tourism Department, said: “In 2019, we will focus on promoting heritage and experience tourism and work with travel agencies to develop tours of local natural landscapes, pagodas and temples. We hope to receive 4.7 million tourists this year.”

The same day, Hanoi hosted a ceremony to welcome the first foreign arrival to the city, Mr. Timo Kux of Germany, who is on a flight of the Vietnam Airlines. In his address, Director of the Hanoi Tourism Department Tran Duc Hai expressed his optimism about the further growth of the local tourism sector.

Various arts activities were held at the Da Nang international airport on Tuesday to welcome the first 180 visitors on board the flight UO 500 of the Hong Kong Express to Da Nang.
