Top legislator honors war invalids, martyrs
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s National Assembly Chairwoman presented Memorial Certificates to relatives of martyrs in the central province of Quang Nam on Tuesday.

The ceremony marked the 73rd War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27. Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said July 27 is a time for Vietnamese people to pay tribute to those who gave great services to the nation.
“The Party and State have offered preferential treatment to national contributors over the past 73 years, reflecting our tradition of ‘Remember the source of the water we drink,’” said Ms. Ngan.
More than 65,000 among 1.1 million war martyrs in Vietnam were from Quang Nam province.
