(VOVWORLD) -General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam met in Hanoi on Monday Secretary General of the ruling Mozambique Liberation Front (FRELIMO) Party Chakil Aboobabcar, who is on a working visit to Vietnam and attending the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

The General Secretary said the participation of the FRELIMO Party, along with friendly and fraternal parties from Africa as well as from many regions around the world, is a great joy, support and encouragement for the Party, State and people of Vietnam in these meaningful days.
Mr. Aboobacar said Vietnam is one of the priority partners in Mozambique's foreign policy, saying that this visit receives high expectations from the FRELIMO Party and the people of Mozambique in deepening and promoting the traditional relationship and good multi-faceted cooperation.
The two leaders agreed on the importance of maintaining and promoting the relationship between the two ruling parties in orienting the Vietnam-Mozambique relations on the basis of political trust to expand cooperation to areas where both sides have needs and strengths such as oil and gas, liquefied gas, mineral exploitation, food production, and healthcare, while focusing on cultural cooperation and enhancing people-to-people exchanges. Mr. Lam also expressed the willingness to cooperate, support and share experiences in the agricultural sector to contribute to ensuring food security for Mozambique.
The two leaders highly appreciated Movitel, a joint venture between Viettel and SPI Company of Mozambique, which continues to be a bright spot in investment relations between the two countries and agreed to promote Movitel to expand into the field of digital transformation and apply high technology in production and business in order to contribute to improving living conditions of the Mozambican people.
