(VOVWORLD) - Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha awarded the insignia "For the Cause of Natural Resources and Environment" to UK Ambassador to Vietnam Gareth Ward on Wednesday.

During his tenure in Vietnam, Mr. Ward has always assisted in natural resources and environmental issues, especially promoting cooperation and attracting investment for climate change response and sustainable development programs.
Minister Ha thanked Ambassador Ward and the UK Embassy in Vietnam for supporting Vietnam in its commitments at the 26th UN Conference on Climate Change (COP26).
Ward expressed his honor to receive the insignia and confirmed that the UK Embassy will work closely with the Vietnamese government and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to realize Vietnam’s environmental goals and commitments at COP26.
