During her speech in Florence, Italy, on Friday, May promised that Britain effectively keeps its existing relationship with the EU until 2021 though it will officially leave the bloc in March, 2019. It will offer 20 billion euros for the EU after its departure. May added that Britain will also abide by EU regulations in that two-year period, meaning that it will allow the free movement of European workers, and accept rulings from the European Court of Justice.
