UN Special Envoy to Libya launches new talks
(VOVWORLD) - UN envoy Ghassan Salame opened new talks between Libyan rivals in Tunisia on Tuesday, less than a week after he presented a plan to end the 6-year Libyan conflict.

The talks are scheduled to continue until this weekend in Gammarth town, where negotiations had already been held in the recent past. Mr. Salame said the rival sides can send a very strong signal to the rest of Libya that there is a possibility to work together if they agree on his plan. He expressed confidence that Libya will be ready to hold parliamentary and presidential elections by next July.
