(VOVworld) - United Nations Secretary General António Guterres has expressed his support for Oman that is in the forefront of mediation efforts to resolve conflict in Yemen.

Mr. Guterres told the press, following a meeting with Oman’s foreign minister, Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, that the objective of his visit is to be able to consult the Government of Oman to see how he can support countries like Oman to bring peace to the Middle East.  The Secretary-General is on a tour of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
