(VOVworld) - Donald Trump is rapidly closing the gap on Hillary Clinton in the race to the White House, with the first debate between the two presidential nominees less than two weeks away.

According to a new CBS/New York Times poll, Democratic nominee Clinton has a narrow two-point lead among likely voters over her Republican rival Trump. Among all registered voters, Clinton is five points ahead, but only slightly edges Trump (41 % to 39 %) when third-party candidates are factored in.
