(VOVworld) – The US market is poised to become the largest and fastest-growing market for Vietnamese exporters once the TPP is signed, said Nguyen Hong Duong, Deputy Director of the American Market Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, at a workshop on Vietnam-US trade relations and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) in Hanoi on Tuesday. He said Vietnamese exporters should upgrade their production technologies to meet environmental standards. Statistics from the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency indicate that the US has 107 investment projects in Vietnam, worth 20 billion USD.  In October Vietnam’s 2014 exports to the US had reached 19 billion USD. Textiles ranked No. 1, followed by footwear, wood furniture, and mechanical and electronic products.
