President Trump said the recent US-Russia summit in Helsinki was a success and he looks for another meeting with President Putin to discuss implementation of their agreement, which includes fighting terrorism, Israel’s security, denuclearization, cyber security, trade, the Ukraine conflict, the Middle East, and North Korea.
At a meeting with Russian diplomats in Moscow on Thursday, President Putin criticized attempts to ruin Moscow-Washington relations, saying that certain forces in the US wanted to sacrifice US-Russia ties for their narrow party interest. He added the two countries are working towards optimistic changes and Moscow is ready to promote partnership with all nations and international organizations.
