US Secretary of State John Kerry told reporters in Vienna ahead of the talks on Sunday that major differences remain between the two sides, and there is a need to see if both sides can make some progress. He added that it is vital to make sure Iran will not develop nuclear weapons and that their nuclear program is peaceful.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi warned that if the talks collapsed, Iran would resume its high-level uranium enrichment program, which was halted since January 20 due to an agreement between the P5+1 and Iran.
