According to a statement from the coalition, the fighter jets hit sites in eight locations, targeting underground weapons storage facilities, missile storage facilities, one-way attack unmanned aerial systems, air defense systems, radars, and a helicopter.

The US Department of Defense insisted that the strikes were necessary and proportionate given the threat that the armed group posed to international maritime routes in the Red Sea.

Houthi's Al Masirah TV channel said this was the second consecutive day the US-British air force attacked Yemen.

Last Friday, the US-UK coalition conducted three bombardments on Hodeida province, one of the localities that Houthi is controlling next to the capital Sana.
