(VOVworld) – Vietnamese businesses are increasingly appreciated but business awareness in Vietnam is more limited than in other countries.

According to the 2013 Business Index released by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on Sunday, the number of adults aware of business opportunities is 37 percent while in other developing countries it is 60 percent. Indexes on infrastructure, dynamism in the domestic market, and business practices reached a standard level. Services to support businesses such as consultancy, laws, accounting and auditing have not fully developed to meet the demand. Vu Tien Loc is the Chairman of the VCCI:
"Vietnam’s 2013 Business Index gives an overview of Vietnamese business in different periods of development. By participating in the global business index, Vietnam for the first time has released a report which compares the development of Vietnam with other countries, particularly those at a similar development level. The report was designed for policy making and working out development orientations"
The report suggests that it is necessary to build trust among businessmen, create consistent policies to stabilize the macro-economy, and create a level playing field for competition between economic sectors.
