(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) plays a significant role and has advantages in encouraging overseas Vietnamese (OVs) to support their homeland.

Mobilization has recently seen much progress in persuading overseas Vietnamese to participate in the Front’s Central Committee

Phan Bich Thien, a member of the Front’s Central Committee made the statement in an interview with a VOV correspondent in France. Thien, who is Chairwoman of the Fund for Hungary –Vietnam Relations and Chairwoman of the Vietnamese Women’s Association in Hungary, said mobilization has recently seen much progress in persuading overseas Vietnamese to participate in the Front’s Central Committee:“The VFF Central Committee has paid great attention to Vietnamese people living abroad. The committee encouraged overseas Vietnamese to contribute their ideas to the recent revision of the constitution. OVs have more opportunities to understand the new Constitution and the VFF.”

Thien expressed her hope that the upcoming national congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will seek new ways to fulfill the organization’s role, especially in mobilizing OVs to help the homeland.
