Vietnam advance to U23 Asian Cup quarterfinals
(VOVWORLD) -U23 football team Vietnam defeated Malaysia 2-0 in its final group match at Lokomotiv Stadium in Uzbekistan on Wednesday evening, winning a ticket to the quarterfinals of U23 Asia Cup 2022 as the second team of Group C.

The Vietnamese players started the game quite confidently and their pressing on paid off with two goals scored by Nham Manh Dung and Bui Hoang Viet Anh.
In another match at the Bunyodkor Stadium at the same time, U23 South Korea beat Thailand 1-0 by one goal from Ko Jae-hyeon.
Vietnam and South Korea advanced to the quarterfinals, with the Koreans finishing in Group C's first place and Vietnam in second.
Vietnam will face Group D's winner in the quarterfinals, either Saudi Arabia or Japan, on Sunday.
