(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam Airlines has introduced its premium economy class for routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Tokyo, Japan. Vietnam Airlines’ premium economy class seats are currently available for international flights to France, the UK, Germany, Australia, and Japan.
Premium economy seats have been installed on Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A350-900 planes, offering more convenient space and associated services compared to those of economy class. Premium economy customers can relax with an improved variety of in-flight entertainment options during their flight.
The class comes with separate counters for boarding procedures, with its passengers prioritized during custom clearance processes, as well as baggage allowances equaling to those on the business class.

In 2017, Vietnam Airlines was ranked among the top 20 premium economy class services in the world by Skytrax and named as ‘World Leading Airline – Premium Economy Class’ by the World Travel Awards. Upgrading the premium economy seats, Vietnam airlines affirmed its continuous efforts on diversifying its services to meet customers’ demands.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates on average 4 direct return flights a day from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city to Tokyo, Japan; 2-3 direct return flights a day from Hanoi to Sydney and HoChi Minh city to Melbourne, Sydney. Directed flights are also available from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city to Paris (France), Frankfurt (Germany), and London (England). The planes which are used includes Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A350-900.
