(VOVWORLD) - Iran's semi-official news agency ISNA said Thursday that Iran will waive entry visa requirements for 33 nations.
Countries benefiting from this waiver includes Gulf nations such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, and Bahrain. In Southeast Asia, the list includes Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia.
Iran's Ministry of Tourism views this policy as a demonstration of Tehran's commitment to normalizing bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation with countries worldwide, while also aiming to attract a greater number of foreign tourists to Iran.
Iran previously implemented visa-free entry for visitors from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Oman, China, Armenia, Lebanon, and Syria.
