Vietnam and China promote trade and investment cooperation

(VOVworld) - Chinese Premier Li Keqiang left Hanoi on Tuesday concluding his 3-day official visit to Vietnam.

Earlier in the afternoon, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his Chinese counterpart participated at a luncheon gathering businesses from both countries. Prime Minister Dung said that Vietnam always respects and support Chinese trade and investment activities in Vietnam. He urged businesses to explore new opportunities following Vietnam’s negotiation with China and other regional countries on a Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership and other free trade pacts with the EU, Russia and Pacific Rim countries.

Premier Li Kequiang pledged continued efforts to foster traditional friendship, strategic partnership and cooperation with Vietnam for their mutual benefit. He encouraged businesses from both sides to boost trade and investment activities in each country and praised the role played by Vietnam in ASEAN. He expected to receive Vietnam’s support in China’s policy to expand cooperative economic and investment relations with the ASEAN.
