President Truong Tan Sang receives visiting Ukrainian Defense Minister, Salamatin Dmitry Albertovich.

(VOVworld) - President Truong Tan Sang has reiterated Vietnam’s external policy that it always attaches a special importance to its relations with traditional friendly countries, including Ukraine. President Sang stated this at a reception for the visiting Ukrainian Defense Minister Salamatin Dmitry Albertovich, in Hanoi on Thursday. Sang expressed his eternal thanks for the great support Ukraine gave to Vietnam during its fight for independence and national construction. Sang also praised the Ukraine’s stable growths in recent years and the increase in cooperation between both nations.

In reply, Minister Albertovich said that the Ukraine’s leaders have made a lot of effort to consolidating relations and expanding cooperation with Vietnam. He then informed President sang of his talks with his Vietnamese counterpart General Phung Quang Thanh, where they focused on working together on military training. Albertovich said that the Ukraine is ready to share its experiences and know-how on defense, and sincerely thanked Vietnam for its support at regional and international forums.
