Mr. Dung made the statement at a reception for Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo in Hanoi on Tuesday. He said he hopes the Chinese ambassador will help Vietnam export its products to China to even the trade balance between the two countries.
The two nations should work together to solve ongoing problems, Mr. Dung said, adding that they should carry out new projects that leverage China’s level of development and technology.
The Chinese ambassador said China is steadily increasing its imports from Vietnam, particularly farm produce.
He added Chinese leaders have urged a Chinese general contractor of Cat Linh-Ha Dong urban railway to go to Vietnam to clear obstacles and get the project started as soon as possible.
